Michaela Petersen

Having grown up in Huntly and the real estate industry, Michaela first started working for Riverlands Real Estate in 2015 as a cleaner after school. She progressed through to a part-time administrator role on the weekends and worked for a short time as a personal assistant to one of the sales consultants while she attended Waikato University.

She finished her Bacherlor of Arts, Majoring in English, in 2017 and moved into full time administration in the Te Kauwhata Branch of Riverlands. While there, she gained her Sales Consultant Licence and began to sell in the growing suburb before moving to be a sales consultant in Ngaruawahia in November 2019. She gained her Branch Managers licence in 2022 and moved into the role of Operations Manager in Huntly August 2022.

Michaela grew up in a household that was always full of animals, everything from dogs and cats to the odd duck and hedgehog but the one that’s always by her side is Murphy – a scruffy little dog that’s always after a treat. She and her husband Ben bought their own home in 2020 and began to grow their own little fur family. Three rescue cats and an actual intended cat, a springer spaniel and a rescue pup later, their house is bursting at the seams and Murphy has a whole lot more company!

She looks forward to growing her career and her team, and is excited for what the future may bring.
